I’m Watching More Than Your Dog
When I'm working with you and your dog, I'm watching a lot more than whether your dog sits when you ask.
I'm watching how your dog moves through the room. What gets them excited. What makes them unsure. How they ask for attention. How you respond. What happens when the leash comes out, someone walks through the door, or life simply gets busy.
I'm watching the little things because those little things tell me a lot.
And I'm always paying attention to how your dog feels, not just what your dog is doing.
I don't believe good training should come at the expense of your dog's emotional well-being. Sometimes we need to teach a new skill. Sometimes we need to change something in the environment. Sometimes your dog needs help feeling safer, calmer, or more confident. And sometimes I may show you one small change in what you're doing that completely changes the conversation between you and your dog.
That's why I don't just train dogs. I teach their humans, too.
Because at the end of the day, I'm not the one living with your dog. You are.
And I want you to understand your dog, know how to help them, and feel confident doing it long after I've walked out your door.

What does "No Pain. No Force. No Fear." actually mean?
It is our promise about how your dog learns with us. Every program is built on rewarding the choices you want to see, so your dog makes them willingly and with confidence. Training stays enjoyable, and your dog stays a happy participant in it.
Do you come to my home, or do I bring my dog to a facility?
We come to you. Training happens in your home and in the real-world places you and your dog actually go — your street, your neighborhood, and supervised public field trips. Skills learned in a training room rarely survive first contact with real life.
How much do your programs cost?
Programs are quoted per package rather than per hour, because every dog and household is different. Heide gives you an exact number on your free 30-minute call, once she understands what you are working on.
What areas do you serve around Tampa?
We serve Tampa, Brandon, Valrico, Riverview, FishHawk, Lithia, Apollo Beach and the surrounding Hillsborough County communities, with Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk County availability. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask.
Is my dog too old or too set in their ways for this to work?
Almost certainly not. Heide works with every age, size, and breed, including rescues with a hard start and dogs who find the world a lot to handle on a walk. Reward-based teaching gives a dog a clear, achievable way to succeed, and dogs of every age respond to that.
What do I need before we start?
Proof of current veterinary vaccines (distemper, parainfluenza, parvovirus, bordetella, and rabies) and a willingness to practice between sessions. That is genuinely it — bring the dog you have, not the dog you think you should have.
