“Canine Crash Course” - Two Class Training Blitz (Enrollment Closed)
“Canine Crash Course” - Two Class Training Blitz is a quick, and simple solution to swiftly improve your dog's wild behavior and reduce your holiday stress. Through 2 one-hour classes held at Embassy Veterinary Center in the Bexley neighborhood of Land O' Lakes, Fl., your dog will learn a more reliable sit, reduce that embarrassing, nuisance jumping enabling polite behavior around guests, and acquire the ability to stay focused, even amidst some distractions. This program not only enhances your dog's manners but also equips you, the pet owner, with easy-to-use techniques and the understanding needed to help remedy your dog's bad behavior effectively.
Just imagine it…A more enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere during your holiday gatherings.
All dogs must meet vaccination requirements prior to approval for class. Required Vaccines
Adult Dog Vaccines:
Rabies
DHPP
Annual Bordetella (however, we strongly recommend boosting every six months)
Leptospirosis (strongly recommended by our veterinary staff)
Canine influenza (strongly recommended by our veterinary staff when supply of vaccine is available)
Negative fecal
All pets should have proof of a negative fecal test for intestinal parasites within one year. It is also highly recommended that all pets be on year-round flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
If your pet is missing any of the above requirements or rec's Embassy would be happy to help by arranging for your pet to see their veterinarian before your classes start!
11/7/23 Tues 6:30pm Rebellious to Respectful at Embassy Vet Center Tampa (Enrollment Closed)
Rebellious to Respectful - Any dog aged 5 months and up. This 4-week course is ideal for a dog that has some or no skills. This class meets once a week at Embassy Vets Tampa for 1 hour. It is perfect for helping dogs to learn to sit, prevent jumping, listening through distractions, leaving things alone, enjoying going to the groomers/vet. With classes being in a veterinarian clinic you will have the opportunity to allow puppy to become confident with Bathing, Vet Visits, listening through distractions, learning to walk politely on a leash, a strong focus on stay, come when called, and more. Potty training and crate training are also briefly covered. All sessions are a hands-on learning experience utilizing Force Free methods all while creating a well-mannered dog and giving you the tools and skills, you need to have a happy dog in a stress-free home. *See website for vaccination requirements.
Puppy Preschool (Registration pending)
Ideal for puppies ages 12-20 weeks. 5-week course covers the foundational skills that you and your puppy need those first several weeks to help you prepare your puppy for being out in the real world with a strong focus on socialization skills and learning how to work through all those puppy distractions. This class meets once a week at Embassy Vets Tampa for 1 hour. Skills covered: sit, prevent jumping, listening through distractions, leaving things alone, enjoying going to the groomers/vet. With classes being in a veterinarian clinic you will have the opportunity to allow puppy to become confident with Bathing, Vet Visits and more. Other skills you will learn are: potty training, puppy biting, crate training, jumping, socialization and more! All sessions are a hands-on learning experience utilizing Force Free methods all while creating a well-mannered puppy and giving you the tools needed to have a happy puppy and happy home. Intermediate Manners (Registration Pending)
This 4 week course is ideal for dog ages 5 months and up that have completed at least 1 beginners training program or have "Beginner" level skills . All dogs will be evaluated by our trainer for skill level appropriateness for this class. This class meets once a week at Embassy Vets Tampa for 1 hour.
Things covered in this class are: The opportunity to allow your dog to learn to become confident entering a veterinary clinic, learn to go to their “Place” and stay when guests enter your home, and learn a more dependable sit/down stay that focuses on our 3 “D's of stay. Also covered are topics such as: Come when called with distractions, loose leash walking into a heel and much more
All sessions are a hands-on learning experience utilizing Force Free methods all while creating a well-mannered dog and giving you the tools and skills you need to have a happy dog in a stress-free home. All dogs must be properly vaccinated. *See below for details.
Agility for Fun No Current Offerings
This fun event meets weekly for 4 weeks on Thursdays at 6:30pm. Our first offering starts August 10, 2023 at Embassy Veterinary Center & Pet Retreat Tampa 16719 Balance Cove, Land O' Lakes, Florida. (In the Bexley neighborhood) When registering, you are enrolled in all sessions for that month.
This group event is for dogs ages 12 weeks and up. Puppy's will have a special no impact course to protect their growing bodies. Adult dogs will have the full experience!
Join us for an easy, fun and exciting time learning about Agility. No competition, just FUN!! Come join us! It's indoors! That means air conditioning!
Agility is one of the fastest-growing dog sports in the country—and for good reason. It’s incredible exercise for both you and your dog, and it forges an even deeper relationship between you. Plus, it’s exhilarating to watch as your dog nimbly and quickly crawls through tunnels, weaves around poles, and leaps through hoops!
We are doing this for FUN! No competition. No judgement. Just FUN for you AND your dog! See you there!

Feeling Nosey? Scent Work For FUN! No current offerings
This is a fun, introductory class to scent work!
Allowing your dog to work independently, problem-solve and build perseverance with minimal human interference can really build your dog’s confidence.
Benefits of dog nose work include physical activity, mental stimulation, and confidence building.
This 4-week class meets once a week for 45 minutes and is all about FUN and creating an amazing bond between you and your dog.
Key Points
*Dogs experience much of the world around them through their sense of smell.
*Scent games allow dogs to channel their love of sniffing while also enriching their minds.
*Nose-based games are a great way to keep your dog mentally stimulated indoors.
**BONUS- Leave the training at the door and just have fun!
Each dog/handler will run the course solo.
This fun class is perfect for virtually any dog of any age.
(Dogs must NOT be dog/people aggressive, dogs must meet *vaccination requirements)
(All dogs will be pre-screened before first class)

Heide Maglott
Heide Maglott is a certified AKC CGC Evaluator (Canine Good Citizen) and a certified AKC ATT Judge (Temperament Test). Heide is a Mentor Trainer for ABC (Animal Behavior College) and she has been working with dogs for 23 years. Heides training methods are strictly Positive Reinforcement Training or also know as Force Free.
No Pain, No Force, No Fear are words that Heide lives by each day. Heide feels that getting to share this extremely successful method of pet dog training with her clients is the most fulfilling work she has ever done.
